Love yourself

live life

I have realised time and time again that people will always judge you no matter what. Family, friends and strangers seem to judge me on a daily basis, and I have come to realise that what they are judging me on, is of there own opinion, and everyone has a right to have there own opinion.

We as human’s are all made up completely different and feel we know what’s right for us and everyone else for some weird reason.

I too was one of these people that would judge other people when I thought what they were doing was weird or wrong or the way they looked was different, however over time I have learnt that we are all human beings on this earth and we all choose to live our lives the way we do and that we shouldn’t be so critical of each other. I know that I don’t like to be judged time and time again so I should therefore not judge others, as my number 1 intention in life is ‘to do to other’s what I want done to myself’…..

I have also learnt through meditation and finding peace and calmness that being critical of others is a waste of my time and energy and creates no peace or calm.

Another very important part to this, is to love yourself. I woke up to this in Louise Hay’s amazing book “you can heal your life” (a must read by all). Louise says in this book, how important it is to love ourselves and that we must be able to look into our eyes in the mirror and say “I love and accept you exactly as you are”.
She says “Love is the miracle cure. Loving ourselves works miracles in our lives. I am not talking about vanity or arrogance or being stuck-up, for that is not love. It is only fear. I am talking about having a great respect for ourselves and a gratitude for the miracle of our bodies and our minds.

Most people laugh at me when I tell them about this or that they should try this, however I have realised how important this really is and how much it has changed me as a person. The first few times or few weeks you do this, you may not be able to have eye contact, or you may not be able to say these words above, or the chitter, chatter in your head has doubt and keeps speaking to you to make you think otherwise. Don’t give up, keep doing it as many times a day as you can for as long as you have to, untill you can do it easily and actually believe and own it aswell.

I have always been a shy, quiet type of girl and would never have thougt of posting photo’s of myself doing yoga poses, or selfies or whatever else I post of me, however once learning to love and accept myself as I am, I felt the need to do so. I now feel confident and proud of myself and the photo’s I take and want to share that feeling or photo’s with others. I no longer care who judge’s me for these photo’s or my actions each day as I have a new found confidence within myself due to me loving and accepting every part of me. This also allows me to no longer feel the need to judge others.

The love and happiness you feel within yourself glows and you only wish this love and happiness on others so they to could feel the same and start living there lives impressing themselves and therefore doing what makes them happy.
