Now those that know of Don Tolman, (the cowboy of self care) you would know about Pulse. For those that don’t Pulse is an ancient recipe that was found in the bible to be used by many people such as the Spartans to get stronger, healthier and more energy. Ancient egyptians and Greeks lived on Pulse and water for months if not years and were stronger, fitter and healthier than anyone else. The specific ratio of nut to seeds to fruits is all us humans need to live on. Don Tolman was lucky enough to find an ancient scipt that gave him the exact ratio of this pulse and has gone on to making it in packets and bars and selling it worldwide. It is absolutely delicious and a meal in one. I was super inspired by hus Pulse Bar that I invented this Heaven in a Slice using all the ingredients that make up Pulse.

Ingredients:-
– 8 organic prunes pitted
– 8 medjool dates pitted
– 1/4 cup sunflower seeds
– 3/4 cup dessicated coconut
– 2 Tbsp chia seeds
– 2 large heaped Tbsp organic pure cacao
– 1/4 cup organic cranberries
– 1/4 cup organic gogi berries
– 1 cup walnuts
– 2 tbsp melted organic coconut oil

Blend all these ingredients together in thermomix for 12 seconds on 7 and then pour into a square tray, pushing mixture down to compact it and place in the fridge.

I added this chocolate topping as Im dark chocolate obessed, however the slice can be made and eaten as it.

Cacao topping:-
– 1/2 cup melted organic coconut oil
– 1/2 cup organic pure cacao
– 2-3 Tbsp pure maple syrup (depending on how sweet you like it)

Mix these 3 ingredients together in a bowl with a spoon and pour over the top of the slice evenly and place back in the fridge till chocolate sets which is pretty quick (15 minutes).

Cut up in squares and serve. Keep in fridge when not eating so it stays fresh and firm.
